SOMEONE called to complain last Tuesday that the streetcar was hurtling down the street, on fire. Obviously if this had been the case, more complaints would have been made, so no action was taken.

MULTIPLE voices were said to be shouting “Ich bin ein Berliner” in the vicinity of Laveau Square on Thursday morning. A patrolman was dispatched but found no evidence of hooliganism before returning to the station laden with jelly doughnuts.

ON Sunday afternoon, someone put a baby doll inside a basket on Carricre Street and set it alight.

TWO pies were stolen from a kitchen on Basin Street on Monday afternoon. The caller requested extra patrols in the vicinity.

TWO of New Toulouse’s finest were taken violently ill yesterday following a dinner of meat pies and cabbage. Police urged citizens to be wary of eating imported cabbage. It is understood that the two patrolmen had been on duty in the vicinity of Basin Street.
